“If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough.” - Robert Capa
This week we are joined by, Ben Smith. Some of you may know Ben from the Small Voice Podcast, which is very excellent in its own right, but he’s also a documentary, portrait and lifestyle photographer shooting commercial work, editorial commissions and long-term personal projects. He has been commissioned by the likes of, The Sunday Times, Time Out, Marie Claire, Melody Maker and a number of corporate brand such as, Glaxo SmithKline and EMI music.
We talk to Ben about his photography career, his podcast, and what he’s working on now. This was an insightful and interesting conversation. It’s about persistence, failure and just getting on with it!
