What is it?
A short 4 week course to set you on the path of shooting in manual. Take control of your camera, understand how it works, make better pictures.
It's common to be snapping away, and only every now and again getting a photograph that we are happy with. We've all been there, right?
It's amazing how just a simple understanding of how your camera works will help you to make more meaningful photographs, more often.
Do you have a DSLR, or a camera with manual settings, and want to get more out of it?
We'll look at each function and explain how it will affect your pictures. It may sound complicated to start with, but like anything, practice make perfect.
So if you are in a confused state about aperture, shutter speed and ISO, come along and be part of the first Staithes photography course.
The course will run from Monday 2nd July, 8pm - 9.30pm, for 4 weeks, at The Staiths Cafe. We have been offered some space in the cafe to present your work, too. So you can invite your friends and family to see your amazing photographs!
This also means that we have access to some of the best coffee, cakes and food in the area!

What do I need to bring?
Your camera, a notepad and pen, and a willingness to learn. It would probably beneficial to have an A4 folder to keep relevant information.
